Macpac Amp Ultra 15L Running Vest

The 15L Amp Ultra is for ultras, adventure races, and ambitious expeditions. It was developed in partnership with the New Zealand Alpine Team and multi-sport champion Braden Currie, and it knows how to pack in the kilometres.

This hybrid vest has dedicated space for two 500ml HydraPak bottles (included), as well as plenty of room for adventure essentials across activities. During testing it summited Aoraki/Mount Cook in a day, and on a six-day fastpacking trip from Arthur’s Pass to Mount Cook Village it traversed ~220km with approx. 12,000m vert.

Air Mesh and 2-way span nylon ensure close-fitting breathability that stretches to move with you. Ultra tear strength (UTS)-coated nylon across the back provides lightweight durability and a DWR finish increases water resistance.

Large front pockets wrap around the back of the vest so you can stash an extra layer, and a combination of load-lifter and compression straps keep larger loads from moving around.

If you use a hydration bladder you can access its pocket via the compressible roll-top compartment. You can also thread the hose through either side of the vest to suit your style.

Carry loops free up your hands when you’re not using your poles, and zipped pockets make space for smaller valuables.
